Judi Island Honours B.A. Fine Art (McMaster Univ.); B.Ed., (U of T.); Silversmith & Jewellery (OCAD U.)
Judi taught art, sculpture and photography for 15 years at Wexford School for the Arts, Toronto and a year at Papakura High School, NZ and at Bega High School, Australia.
Her art work has been exhibited in galleries in New Zealand, Australia and Canada.
“For many years I enjoyed exploring sculptural art but due to physical limitations as a result of a spinal cord injury I have returned to painting in both acrylics and oils. Whether I paint landscapes or still life, my paintings are influenced by the quality and expression of light and colour.”
