Barbara Sawicki

I have spent my entire life summering in Muskoka and it has captured my heart. It’s beauty and ruggedness is what inspires me to attempt to put paint to canvas, to capture the skewed pine, the formidable rock formations, breathtaking sunsets and the ever changing reflections on the water.

It brings me such joy and peace and my hope is to transfer its magic to my paintings. I have also been blessed to have lived in Headwaters for a number of years, and although very different than Muskoka, the rolling hills, forests and streams, old barns and charming Homesteads, provide endless opportunities to try and capture its essence.

It is my hope that my paintings will somehow capture the beauty and the history of such a spectacular area that I call home.
